In June, ExamWorks announced the acquisition of MedAllocators and Ability Services Network and creation of ExamWorks Clinical Solutions. This follows ExamWorks’ acquisition of Gould & Lamb in February 2014. Since 2009, ClearSight and Gould & Lamb have had a strategic alliance to deliver solutions for Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act (MMSEA) Section 111 mandatory reporting.
For those of you that would like more information about these acquisitions, here are links to the two press releases:
For ClearSight clients that use Gould & Lamb for CMS Section 111 reporting, here’s some useful information about what to expect.
There have been some executive management changes. However, all of ClearSight’ primary contacts at G&L will retain their existing roles, and our relationship and product offerings with the company will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future.
G&L has worked diligently with CMS to limit any client impacts and/or required administrative tasks. No re-registration or changes in CMS RRE-id profiles will be necessary in the near term as a result of the acquisitions. Clients should be advised, however, that required Section 111 Mandatory Reporting RRE-id annual profile updates received from CMS after January 1, 2015 (delivered via e-mail) may begin to show ExamWorks Clinical Solutions in place of Gould & Lamb. G&L plans to send a communication with details of the name change impacts to all clients.
Gould & Lamb will be participating in our October client conference under the ExamWorks Clinical Solutions brand. Click here for more information about the conference—you won’t want to miss it!
